began her journey in taekwondo nearly a decade ago when she first stepped onto the training floor. Since then, her dedication to the art and its underlying philosophy has been unwavering. As a martial artist, Master Bethany views those who train as true artists, with each individual possessing unique strengths waiting to be discovered and expressed.
Central to Master Bethany's teaching approach is the belief that taekwondo is not just about physical techniques but also about personal empowerment and self-expression. She aims to help her students tap into their strengths and use them to empower themselves both on and off the training floor. Drawing from her experience as a mother of two, she understands the significance of instilling confidence and structure in children and young adults, and she sees taekwondo as an effective means to achieve this goal.
On the training floor, Master Bethany's mission is to instill the intangible qualities associated with taekwondo – courtesy, respect, integrity, self-control, perseverance and an indomitable spirit – in each student with values that are not only essential for progressing through the ranks to black belt but also for navigating life's challenges beyond the martial arts studio.
Through her dedication and commitment to nurturing the holistic development of her students, Master Bethany seeks to guide them on a journey of personal growth and self-discovery. She believes that by instilling these fundamental values, she can help her students become not only skilled martial artists but also compassionate, resilient, and virtuous individuals who positively contribute to their communities.

Marianne started her taekwondo journey over a decade ago with Master Radomir. Marianne’s passion for taekwondo stems from her discovery that taekwondo is much more than self defense, it is the philosophy and moral culture of the martial art. She learned first hand and did her own research about the meaning of the tenets of taekwondo; courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit.
In 2018, Marianne was challenged at the Canadian National Taekwondo Championships as a fresh 1st Dan black belt and walked away 2nd in the Female Juniors’ -46kg division.
Today, her taekwondo journey finds her in the office part-time as an office administrator, handling emails and greeting current and new students, while preaching her passion for the sport and the instructors.
She gives credit to taekwondo and to Master Radomir for cultivating a positive yet serious environment for her to grow into the compassionate character she is today, perfect in becoming a future health care professional as she pursues her studies at uOttawa’s Honours Bachelors of Science in Nursing.
