MASTER BETHANY CAMPBELL first walked on to a training floor and discovered her passion for taekwondo almost a decade ago. Since that time, she has dedicated herself to the study of the art and its underlying philosophy.
Master Campbell believes that as a martial artist, those who train are first and foremost artists. She strives to help students find their strengths and use their skills to express and empower themselves on the training floor. As a mother of two, she knows firsthand the importance of instilling confidence and structure in children and young adults, and has used taekwondo as a vehicle to help students of all ages grow throughout their martial arts journey.
On the training floor, Master Campbell's mission is to instill the intangible qualities associated with taekwondo – courtesy, respect, integrity, self-control, perseverance and an indomitable spirit – in each student in their journey to black belt and beyond.
Master Campbell is a 2nd Dan Kukkiwon black belt who also won 1st place at the 2015 Battle of Warriors tournament black belt poomsae division.
ANDRE GAGNE has over twenty years of experience working with children both in Canada and abroad and looks forward to bringing years of games and activities as our After School Program Supervisor.
In his career as an educator and program facilitator he has taught a wide array of subjects heightening his skill set. Working in Japan, he taught English as a second language to Japanese students in the historical Nara Prefecture of Japan with a focus on creating very visual and interactive lessons that were as educational as they were fun.
The input and interests of the children he works with remains very important to him and helps facilitate the core of his programming. This inclusionary mentality has created many unique experiences for the children he has worked with. This has included creating a feature film where kids served as writers, actors and filmmakers throughout the project. He has also worked to build a child written and photographed newspaper, a winter Olympic Games for kids and helped develop various family fun nights and events for the programs he has worked with.
He has served as a care-giver to various age groups and multicultural backgrounds creating an enriching atmosphere where the students could learn and play. Lessons included use of many self-created props and handouts to help strengthen language skills. He strives to instill confidence and a can-do attitude, working in either large groups or one on one.
Andre is CPR and /First Aid Certified. He also possesses Epi-Pen training, food safe training, child protection act training, Diabetes and Seizure training, accessibility training, and has his Healthy Children certificate.
